CPDM SG Brings President Biya’s Message of Hope and Development to Bamenda

Bamenda, Sunday, October 5, 2025
In a remarkable display of loyalty and resilience, the people of the North West Region braved the heavy downpour that swept through Bamenda on Sunday afternoon to warmly receive the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM).

Bamenda, the birthplace of the CPDM and the unshakable bastion of His Excellency President Paul Biya, once again reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the Head of State and the ideals of unity, peace, and national development. The massive turnout, despite adverse weather conditions, was a testament to the deep affection and trust the people continue to place in President Biya’s leadership.

The Secretary General’s visit was not merely symbolic—it carried with it a message of comfort and encouragement from President Paul Biya to his compatriots of the North West. His words resonated with hope, solidarity, and renewed determination for the progress of the region.

As part of this significant visit, a major gift was presented to the University of Bamenda: a brand-new 70-seater bus, generously offered by President Paul Biya to ease student mobility and improve academic life on campus. The gesture was met with applause and gratitude from students, staff, and local leaders, further cementing the President’s reputation as a father of the nation deeply concerned with the welfare of all Cameroonians.

Earlier in the day, the Fon of Baligam, who also serves as the Mayor of the Santa Municipality, led his people in a warm and colorful reception at Santa—the gateway to the North West Region. The atmosphere was one of celebration, unity, and pride, as the population came out en masse to commune with their leader and express their unwavering allegiance to the CPDM and to President Biya.

The event in Bamenda once again demonstrated that the North West remains a steadfast pillar of the New Deal, standing firm with the Head of State and embracing the vision of a stronger, united, and prosperous Cameroon under his wise leadership.
